Fruity porridge

A quick and easy breakfast!

This quick and easy breakfast can be prepared in the microwave in less than 5 minutes!


  • 1 cup whole rolled oats 

  • 1/3 cup fresh fruit (e.g. berries or banana) 

  • 21/3 cups reduced fat milk 


  1. Place the oats and milk in a bowl suitable for the microwave – or place oats and milk in saucepan and cook over moderate heat for 7-8 mins, stirring until thick & creamy. 

  2. Stir well and place in microwave for 2 minutes (cooking time may vary depending on microwave) 

  3. Stir well and cook for a further 1-2 minutes. Add more milk if it becomes too thick. 

  4. Add fruit to serve.
